Key Points of the Selection Criteria
Appointment Process:
Adhoc Basis: Initial recruitment on an adhoc basis will be merit-based and applicable for SST (BPS-16) from district domicile holders.
The adhoc appointment will last for one year and may be extended as per requirements.
Regular Basis: Regular appointments will also be merit-based, non-transferable for the first three years.
Testing Agency: ETEA will conduct tests for the initial recruitment process.
Total marks distribution will include 100 marks for tests and 100 marks for academic qualifications.

Ph.D: Marks Obtained X 5 / Total Marks
Additional Criteria for Various Teaching Cadres
PST, Qari/Qariya, CT-IT, CT, DM, AT, TT, PET Specific marks and academic requirements are laid out for each cadre.
Test and Academic Qualification Marks Distribution (Total: 200 Marks):
Test Marks: Total: 100 Marks
Academic Qualification Marks: Total: 100 Marks
Other Provisions
For 4-year BS Degree, 35 marks will be calculated as: Marks obtained X 35 / Total Marks for B.A/B.Sc + 15 for M.A/M.Sc.
For 2-year M.A Education Degree or 4-year BS Degree, 20 marks will be calculated as: Marks obtained X 20 (15 for B.Ed and 5 for M.Ed) / Total Marks.
Passing Marks:
Passing marks for the test will be 50.
If qualified candidates are not available, passing marks may be reduced to 30.
Provisional Merit List:
Provisional merit list from the testing agency will be verified by the appointing authority with original documents.
Tentative merit list will be displayed for ten days to receive appeals.
Final merit list will be displayed after proper disposal of appeals within 15 days.
Appointment Orders:
Orders will be issued by the appointing authority as per prescribed merit list.
Verification of Documents:
Degrees/certificates from public sector universities/BISEs will be verified.
For private institutions, verification will be done by the Higher Education Commission.
Age Relaxation and Quotas:
General age relaxation, women quota, and minority quota will be applied.
Age relaxation as per Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2008.
Validity and Scrutiny:
Merit list will be valid for one year.
Strict scrutiny for fake or forged documents.
Recruitment Policy:
Current recruitment policy supersedes previous policy (2014) for the recruitment of teachers (BPS-12 to BPS-16).
Distribution of Notification:
Notification has been circulated to relevant government officials and departments for implementation.
