Current Vacancies
1. Manager – Disaster Risk Financing
Responsibilities:
- Implement the National DRF Strategy.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and lead research initiatives.
- Develop and design Disaster Financing Instruments.
- Mobilize funds and build partnerships to support the DRF strategy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of education in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of professional experience, with specific experience in disaster risk financing.
2. Technical Team Lead – NATCAT Risk Modelling & Data Centre
Responsibilities:
- Operationalize the NATCAT Risk Modelling & Data Centre at NUST-Islamabad.
- Manage day-to-day operations and establish linkages with national and international data centers.
- Incorporate AI/ML elements to enhance the Risk Calculator.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of education in GIS & RS, Geo-informatics, Spatial Data Science, or related fields.
- 8-10 years of professional experience, with significant expertise in managing data centers or large-scale GIS/RS-based projects.
3. Deputy Manager – GIS Developer / Modeling
Responsibilities:
- Develop intuitive user interfaces and interactive visualizations for dashboards using WebGIS technologies.
- Link AI technologies and frameworks to meet NATCAT requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of education in Geoinformatics, Computer Science, GIS Development, or related fields.
- 6-8 years of professional experience, with expertise in WebGIS technologies and data visualization tools.
4. Deputy Manager – GIS Expert, NATCAT Data Centre
Responsibilities:
- Integrate heterogeneous datasets from multiple sources and formats.
- Ensure data interoperability and manage spatial DBMSs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of education in Geoinformatics, GIS & Remote Sensing, Data Science, or related fields.
- 6-8 years of professional experience, with proficiency in data transformation and harmonization.
Terms and Conditions

- Application Submission:

- Applicants must provide their credentials and attach scanned copies of their CV, CNIC, educational and experience certificates.
- Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on August 23, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
- Incomplete Applications:
- Incomplete applications and/or those received after the deadline will not be entertained.
- Ensure all required documents are attached; incomplete submissions will be disqualified.
- Qualification and Experience:
- The age, qualification, and experience of candidates will be counted from the date of application submission.
- Part-time, honorary, apprentice, and internee positions will not be considered as relevant experience.
- All candidates must have Higher Education Commission (HEC) verified/equivalent qualifications.
- Foreign-qualified candidates must submit equivalence certificates from the HEC.
- Document Verification:
- Candidates must produce original documents during the interview.
- Selected candidates are required to submit HEC-verified degrees before starting employment.
- Selection Process:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview after a thorough review of applications.
- NDRMF reserves the right to defer or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
- Current Employment:
- Candidates already employed in government, semi-government organizations, autonomous bodies, or corporations must apply through proper channels with a NOC from their respective departments.
- Selected candidates will be offered positions through a contract agreement.
- Integrity and Risk:

- Employment Terms:
- Employment at NDRMF is on a whole-time basis.
