QUOTAS AND JURISDICTION
(i) For item No. 1 to 5, only those applicants are eligible to apply who are permanent residents/possess domicile of the area/region against whom quota vacancies are available.
(ii) For item No. 6, only those applicants are eligible to apply on the basis of their domicile, who belong to the Civil Districts & Tehsils falling under the territorial jurisdiction of respective Railway Administrative Divisions i.e. Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta & Karachi. Detail of jurisdiction (Districts and Tehsils) of all Railway Divisions is available on website of Pakistan Railways i.e. Official Websites
(iii) Applicants can apply for more than one post as per qualification requirements.
The following quotas for the category of Assistant Station Master/Gr-I (Item no. 7):
(i) 58% quota for Open Merit.
(ii) 20% quota for son of Railway employee including 2% fixed for son of Rly deceased employee. (iii) 10% quota for ex-servicemen.
Additional quotas to be observed (Item no. 1-7):
(i) 5% quota for Minorities/non-Muslims in all categories.
(ii) 5% quota for orphans/Destitute in all categories.
(iii) 2% quota for disable persons (where applicable).

AGE LIMIT
(i) 18-25 years + 5 years General Age Relaxation in upper age limit on the closing date for receipt of applications i.e.
(ii) The age of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh Urban/Rural & Balochistan is relaxed for 3 years in addition to item No. 1 above.
(iii) In case of Ex-Servicemen, the upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less.
(iv) The age of Government servants and contract employees who have completed 2 years continuous Government service on the closing date for receipt of application is relaxed by 10 years up to the age of 55 years.
(v) The age of disabled candidates is by 10 years.
(vi) The widow or child of deceased Civil Servant who has died during service is relaxed by 05 years in addition.
(vii) Where a candidate is entitled to age relaxation under more than one category specified (item No. 02 to 05) above, he shall be allowed relaxation in age only in one category.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
(i) Application form shall be downloaded by visiting (Pakistan Railways) Website i.e.
https://www.pakrail.gov.pk/Career.aspx and are required to submit as per following instructions:
(a) Duly filled/typed form be emailed to CPO at email address [email protected].
(b) Signed forms along with attested copies of Educational Documents, CNIC, Domicile, and two fresh passport size photographs.
(c) Three postal envelopes duly stamped and return address of applicant mentioned thereon.
(ii) The above documents should be directly sent through Registered Dak or courier to Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Empress Road, Lahore.
(iii) Eligibility of the candidates shall be determined on the basis of applicant qualification, performance in written test and interview (70% Written Test + 30% Interview).
(iv) The candidates who are serving in Railways or any other department shall submit their application through proper channel along with NOC.
(v) Application forms may also be obtained from Pakistan Railway Divisional Offices at Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Karachi, Quetta and Moghulpura.
(vi) Last date of receipt of applications is 28.08.2024 up to 05:00 PM, in CPO office and through email.
(vii) Incomplete applications or applications carrying incorrect information shall be rejected.
(viii) Only those candidates who fulfill the laid down criteria are eligible to apply.
(ix) No TA/DA shall be admissible for test/interview.
(x) The candidate selected will be required to: a. Pass prescribed Medical Examination and clearance by Security Agencies. b. Undergo specified training. c. Posted anywhere in Pakistan Railways system in any cadre of the concerned category.
(xi) In case of applying by candidate found to use bogus during recruitment process and afterwards, the appointment will be treated as cancelled and legal action may be taken.

Pakistan Railway reserves the right to reject any application(s) or suspend/cancel the process without conveying any reason and may alter the number and distribution of vacancies.
